Challenge & Solution
The primary challenge was the home’s steep 10/12 pitch, which required specialized fall protection and staging equipment to maintain crew safety throughout the project. Additionally, two layers of existing shingles had to be stripped — adding to the tear-off labor.
We addressed both by bringing in a dedicated safety crew, using hydraulic roof brackets, and properly disposing of over 48 squares of removed material at a certified facility. The attic ventilation was also improved by adding two new ridge vents, resolving the moisture issue that had been accelerating shingle deterioration.
