Storm Damage Roof Repair — Freehold
Project Intro
Following a significant nor’easter that swept through Monmouth County, Alpha Pro Construction LLC received an emergency call from a Freehold homeowner. The storm had stripped approximately 400 square feet of shingles from the rear slope, leaving the deck exposed and vulnerable to the rain that followed two days later.
Our emergency response team arrived within 24 hours to install temporary weatherproofing, preventing further interior damage. We then conducted a full insurance documentation inspection, photographing all storm-related damage and providing the homeowner with a detailed scope report to support their insurance claim.

Challenge & Solution
The delay between the storm and the repair window — dictated by the insurance claim process — meant the exposed deck had already absorbed significant moisture. When we began the repair, we discovered that two sheets of OSB had delaminated and required replacement before any new roofing materials could be applied.
We also identified storm damage to the gutters and soffit on the rear elevation that had not been included in the initial adjuster’s scope. Alpha Pro worked directly with the homeowner’s insurance adjuster to submit a supplemental claim for the additional items, which was approved within a week.
